IWBC will offer both dorm rooms and a hotel room block for the conference. Check back here soon to learn more about both options as well as useful information about our host location, the University of North Texas.

IWBC is coordinating with UNT to provide dorm housing. Click HERE for a video tour of the dorm.
The dorm building is Legends Hall located at 221 N Texas Blvd, Denton, TX 76201.
Housing will cost $40 per night for a private room and $28 per night for a shared room. Unfortunately, UNT does not have an option for linens so linens will not be provided. Both rooms are one person to a room, but the shared room shares one bathroom between two people. A private (single) room means that the person has their own room and their own private bathroom. Anyone staying in the dorms must be 18 years of age or older. The bed size is Twin XL. There is a community kitchen that offers a stove, oven, microwave and a refrigerator.
According to google maps, the dorms are a 7 minute walk from the music building (0.3 miles away)
Dorm housing can be purchased during conference registration which can be found at www.myiwbc.org/register
IWBC reserved a room block at The Embassy Suites by Hilton Denton Convention Center at the discounted rate of $149 per night. Below is information from the hotel to reserve your room:
Individuals can call in their reservations on our toll-free reservations number, 1-940-243-3799. Please be sure to inform your attendees to call this number when making their reservation and have them refer to International Women’s Brass Conference to secure this special group rate. The cut-off date for receipt of these reservations will be Sunday, April 24, 2022. ANY RESERVATION REQUEST RECEIVED AFTER THIS DATE IS SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY AND WILL BE OFFERED AT THE PREVAILING RETAIL RATE.
More Hotel Information:
Dining: The hotel has a Houlihan’s restaurant and bar attached and shares a lot with a Cheddars (family style dining) and iHop (family style breakfast chain).
Distance: The hotel is not easily walkable to the conference. While there is a shuttle, the hotel cannot guarantee it will be available during all conference times.
There is not a shuttle available from the airport or dorms. We did request that a shuttle be available from the hotel during conference hours but it is available first come first serve so it may not be reliable. There is a bus route that will take you from Embassy Suites to campus but it only runs until 8pm. Instructions for that are below:
