Gerry Pagano

Originally from Athens Georgia, Gerry studied music education at the University of Georgia, before joining Atlanta based entertainer Cody Marshall in 1978. He traveled extensively with Cody, to such places as Alaska, Puerto Rico, Reno and Lake Tahoe Nevada, and Saudi Arabia, playing dance and show music.
He spent 1980-84 free lancing in Phoenix, AZ  gaining more experience, playing Annie, Chorus Line, Sammy Davis Jr., Liberace, salsa, basically anything and everything he could.  While in Arizona he started auditioning for orchestras, and determined to go back to school and study orchestral repertoire.

He started at Juilliard in 1984, and graduated in June 1987, with Bachelor and Masters Degrees in performance. While in NYC, he had the opportunity to perform with the Met Opera, sub with the NY Philharmonic, the New Jersey Symphony, as well as many other regional orchestras.

In October of 1987, he won Bass Trombone in the San Francisco Ballet Orchestra, a position he held until winning the St Louis Symphony Bass Trombone position in 1995. Along the way, he has performed recitals and masterclasses across the USA, from Florida, to California, and extensively in the midwest, in Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin, Nebraska, and Iowa. He has also spent many summers teaching at the Interlochen Arts Camp.

He is a founding member of the St Louis Low Brass Collective, and the Trombones of the St Louis Symphony. Gerry is an Edwards Instrument Artist.
