Amanda Frisch is currently conducting a Web-based survey research study titled “Perceptions of Support and Compassion Among Women Brass Players,” the purpose of this study is to examine how (or if) the absence of support and compassion by teachers and colleagues is responsible for the lack of female representation in the brass section. Criteria for participation in this survey includes: 1) You are a woman and at least 18 years old and older 2) You are/were a brass player. Frisch will use this information as the center of her research as she completes her dissertation at Ball State University this semester.
